About

Humble Beginnings

Throughout his academic career, Srikesh remained a curious and driven individual. Eager to apply his formal education in the community, Srikesh entered the health and fitness industry as a Sports Medicine intern and Personal Trainer. Between 2013 and 2020 Srikesh demonstrated continuous growth and development as a campus leader. Through the athletics and recreation department at McMaster University, Srikesh took on various roles from administrative support to fitness coach and coordinator of the University’s Special Populations fitness program.

Lifelong Learning

Srikesh is firmly committed to lifelong learning. Since graduating in 2020, he has already completed two certifications in contemporary medical acupuncture in addition to self-directed study of the various treatment modalities employed in the rehabilitation industry.

Health Advocate

Srikesh describes his role as a health advocate and problem-solver who combines active listening with his natural sense of curiosity to build rapport with his patients. Srikesh is keenly aware that physiotherapy problems are always multifactorial and unique to the individual. Thus, he has come to appreciate the art involved with patientcare and the importance off emotionally intelligent communication.

“Tell me, and I will listen; Teach me, and I’ll remember; Involve me, and I will learn.”

Values

Trust

Patients place a great deal of TRUST in their therapists. I will respect this and take great care to ensure patient safety and autonomy.

Curiosity

CURIOSITY leads to the best questions, and better questions lead to growth and prevents stagnation.

Humility

I believe there is no such thing as perfection in healthcare, but self-reflection and HUMILITY will ensure I am always adapting and evolving towards a better version of myself.

Individuality

Every patient has a unique history and personality, I will respect their INDIVIDUALITY and I will strive to provide non-judgemental care, free of biases.

Creativity

As we await advances in medical science, we must respect the positive role CREATIVITY can play in the art of medicine.

Adaptability

The only constant in life is change. Demonstrating ADAPTABILITY ensures we can adjust to new circumstances as we journey to our goals.

Philosophy

The Scientific Method

Committed to “Evidence-Based-Practice,” I strive to apply the scientific method in every clinical encounter. In other words, I view my assessments and treatments as scientific experiments where my patient and I are working collaboratively to make observations, formulate hypotheses and ultimately test them through various treatment strategies until we achieve the desired clinical outcomes.

The Iterative Process

Furthermore, I believe each physiotherapy problem involves a complex interaction between various biological, psychological and sociological systems which necessitates a wholistic care plan. To ensure complete care for my patients, I am wholeheartedly committed to life-long learning and self-reflection to ensure growth and success.
